Watch as Oban High School Pipe Band performs in New York

Oban High School Pipe Band made the town proud on Saturday when they performed in the annual Tartan Day Parade in New York City.

They marched down 6th Avenue, entertaining the crowd, as well as the thousands of people who have since watched the 15-minute performance online.

Following the parade, the Oban teens took part in a “jamming session” featuring musicians from around the world.

Oban High School Head Teacher, Peter Bain, expressed his delight, saying: “I’m very proud of all our talented kids and dedicated staff. Well done everyone.”

The NYC Tartan Day Parade and NYC Tartan Week promotes, supports, and develops Scottish heritage in America.
